Patient Participation Group

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

This group is now reformed and welcomes any new members.  Please email blackwater.medicalcentre@nhs.net for further details.

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff. To help us with this, we have a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link opposite to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.

Do something new in 2025 – Join our Patient Participation Virtual Group

Blackwater Medical Centre has a Patient Participation Group that meets bi-monthly via face-to-face meetings.   We are looking at increasing our membership for those patients who might be interested in joining us.

From 2025, we are looking at starting a virtual group of patients who would like to be part of the Patient Participation Group but prefer not to attend meetings in person. They get involved by email instead. Information such as practice newsletters, minutes of the Patient Participation Group meetings and surveys will be shared electronically.  It means that if you can’t make face-to-face meetings, are caring for someone and unable to leave them, or are working, you can still be kept informed, give your views, and participate.

Will my views be heard?

Your views are important and will be listened to. It may not be possible to act on every suggestion, but all feedback is very valuable. Working in a spirit of mutual respect, openness and trust, all patients’ views will be discussed and, where appropriate, we will work together on solutions.

If you would like more information, please email blackwater.medicalcentre@nhs.net or leave your details at reception.
